Why one token is often the wrong answer for real-economy systems

Many blockchain systems ask a single token to serve two conflicting purposes. It must appreciate as an asset for holders while also remaining cheap and predictable as a network operating input. In practice, these goals often collide. When speculative demand rises, usage costs rise with it — damaging the viability of applications that depend on steady operational economics.

AESC addresses this tension by separating network equity from network fuel. This creates a more stable base for long-term usage and a more coherent framework for governance and value capture.
